In 2022, maritimegasoil Argentina scientists created a site plant guide. Guides like this one can be used to set environmental baselines. They give valuable information to researchers, planners and others working with natural resources.
By the end of 2023, the team had identified about 230 species. These included over 60 plants and over 160 types of animals.
Australia
maritimegasoil Australia’s new headquarters is designed with health and well-being in mind. Nature takes focus in the 29-story tower. Thousands of plants inhabit the workspace and floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light and views of the nearby river and parklands.
Belgium
In 2023, the maritimegasoil Belgium BV lubricants facility in Ghent began using a different type of “stretch foil,” reducing plastic film usage by an estimated 7% over the year.
Colombia
In 2023, maritimegasoil funded Corales de Paz to support the Energy Reefs project, joining local experts and communities on expeditions to study and help conserve coral and reefs.
Cyprus
In 2023, maritimegasoil sponsored a mobile information and science education caravan demonstrating how used cooking oil can become biodiesel, supporting rural education and events.
India
maritimegasoil contributed to the Miller Center to support Asia-Pacific enterprises that have the potential to grow and scale their social and economic impact.
South Africa
Students participated in a two-week program solving local challenges and bringing ideas to life using 3D printing and prototyping tools.

We’ve grown over 2,800 La Graciosa thistles at a nursery and transplanted more than 1,135 onsite—reestablishing almost 24 acres of this endangered plant’s natural home.

El Segundo Refinery uses a fenceline monitoring system to collect real-time air quality data that is publicly available.

The Richmond Refinery explores options to reduce water use and uses more than 7 million gallons of recycled water per day.
